| I find it very sobering when I take a step back and look at all the money,
time and energy I've spent with this vehicle. The bottom line doesn't equal
monetary value, but shear enjoyment does come at a cost. Well, for me, here
it is. I've broken up this page into sections. They are linked below.
Anyone ever collect comics? Baseball cards? I kept a tally of all my
comics, issue number, condition, printing, etc. Whenever I got sick, I'd
break out my list, get a price guide, and tack on a value to each book,
then add it all up and have a final number. This would take me the whole
day, since I'd also re-check to make sure I hadn't missed any new ones
I had gotten. Why is this relevant? Well, I've been doing this kind of
thing since I was a kid: collecting, documenting, analyzing, and making
a record. My wife thinks I'm crazy. She's right, I am, but what she's
wrong about is that this is a new sick thing I do. It's not. I've been
doing this since I was a kid. That's all. Little connection there on my
part.
